Texas Quiz Bowl Camp

Each year Texas Quiz Bowl employs high school and college students to serve as junior counselors for our summer camps. If you are interested in serving as a junior counselor, please contact cromero-at-texasquizbowl.org. Preference is given to students who have previously attended Texas Quiz Bowl Camp.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or students in grades 11 or 12 next school year
• Quiz Bowl veteran
• Previous TQBA camp attendee
• Willingness to work/attend for both camp sessions

Responsibilities

• Counselors will monitor younger students
• Counselors will coordinate daily recreational activities
• Counselors will moderate daily quiz bowl tournaments
• Counselors will share their quiz bowl experiences with younger students
• Counselors will contribute to camp question writing projects
• Counselors will follow all camp guidelines
• Counselors will report to camp administrators
• Counselors will report to the camp facility one day prior to their camp session
